Random Compliments

Recently I was told by six year old girl that I 'sorta look like Pocahontas', which thrilled me to BITS! Another time, I was invited to become an 'honorary guy' which I think was MEANT as a compliment.

Yet another time, my good friend Natalie told me that I have a 'good palate' and Jioji added that I have a 'good soft palate'. It was a first for both compliments but I think the latter wins the prize for the most random compliment I've ever received. (See Jioji, I told you I'd manage to weave that into my blog somehow and I hope I spelt your name right!)

I'd like to hear your random compliments - whether or not you believe them to be true. Post your comments now! (don't let me down)

Well, I've gotton my share of "complements" overseas. How about:
"Your oral English is getting better and better!" from a Chinese person.
Or, while talking about something totally unrelated to body weight, "you're actually not that fat."
Or (and Mel, you might have been there for this one): "this apple pie is really good" said while dipping it in leftover hot sauce from a shrimp dish.

Tonight someone said and I quote, "Donna Is Sexy".

He was just being a sweet little brother, but I said to everyone that I was not going to look in the mirror and remind myself for a while haaaaa!

To be compared with Pocahontas is a nice compliament. You should feel honored. I think there is a 'Pocahontas look-a-like' group in Facebook that you should join.
